My buddy who I bought it from can't find the original receipt. There is a scu on the back saying it was manafactured in january 2006. DJ supply had told me they were going to check on that to, which they never did. And they also got $50 out of me for the repair. A manager is supposed to call me in the morning, but we'll see about that. Their service is the worst that I have ever seen. And yeah, I am a pretty reasonible person, by the way. I keep my cool thru some pretty messed up situations. But after 3 trips that took me 35 minutes each way, $50, the cost of gas, my time, and the fact that I have not been able to mix for the last 10 days would be enough to piss off the calmest person in the world. But yeah, I know it pays to be calm and polite, but when that stops working its time to move onto something else.
No one knows if I can fix this problem on my own??
Thanks, Mike |
That sucks, you must live around me (Farmington) cause it takes me about 35 minutes to get down there but I don't bother with DJ Supply, considering Guitar Center in Southfield is like 15 to 20 minutes from my house and better prices, service like I said. I don't think they do repairs though. You should really send it back to Pioneer. I mean it might cost you more in the long run to have it repaired, but it's kind of like what happened to my old car a few years ago. I took it to this place down the street, they fixed it for cheap (like 250) and they did a very shoddy job. So I took it to a place I knew was reliable, but costed more to fix it, and it would have costed less in the long run to take it to the place I knew was reliable. Pioneer knows their stuff, after all they make it, so having a Pioneer-certified technician repair it for more money will pay off in the long run (just as long as it doesn't cost as much as a CDJ 200 in and of itself, in that case, your best bet is to just buy a new one). I have no idea, and I don't know of anyone else unless they are a technician.
