Miami Dolphins vs New York Giants (Wembley, London, UK, Oct 28th)
Just got myself some tickets today for this, bloody expensive they were too! Never been to an American Football match and to be honest I think it's a bit of a joke sport (like a lot of American sports apart from Ice Hockey which is Canadian anyway) but I do quite enjoy watching the Super Bowl and thought that this would be a fun day out (plus my mates who I'm going with are fairly interested in American Football so they can tell me whats what)
Just feel sorry for the season ticket holders at whichever team the home team is supposed to be (unless they get in for free of cause!) as I'd be quite pissed off if Sheff Utd decided to just up sticks and fuck of to New York to play one of their league matches!!!
Anyone else goin to this??

Very cool. You'll probably have fun, but the TV time-outs suck. Everybody just stands there for a couple minutes so they can play commercials.

congratulations to you! you would certainly have fun, but unfortunately, it's with 2 "mediocre" NFL franchises(Miami and the New York Giants). and like vern says .. it's a home game for miami. lol. at least you get to see "the ginn family" the whole media talking about. and not that type of gin from "gin and tonic".
when the nfl announced they were going to host 2 regular season games outside of the us, i thought it was an excellent idea. i say the nfl should attempt to broaden the popularity of american football. yeah people can make fun of american football, and how there isn't much action, but i enjoy it as much as every other sport. it is a combination of a chess match and strength.
most of all, you will be privilaged to watch eli manning and "insert dolphin qb here" have an interception battle to see who will throw the most.

Really wanted to go to this game as it was my best chance to watch an NFL game without flying somewhere in the States when I move back to Canada... oh well

We paid £65 (prices were £45/£55/£65/£75) so not bloody cheap!! Tried to get the £45 ones first but they had sold out I think (45mins after they went on PREsale!!) so just selected "best available" as time was of the essence! And thats what I got, 29 rows back which should be pretty good
Also, it'll give me a chance to go to the new Wembley cos with supporting a team like Sheff Utd I ain't gonna get many chances to go watch em there!!

yeah, football tickets are damn expensive. They only play 16 games a year, though, and all the games sell out.

From my european point of view I'd like to have real teams over here and not these under 500 teams.
But I totally understand all american fans who don't want to loose a home game of their team because you only have 8.
I thought about going to London for the game but than I reminded me that I don't care about the Dolphins and have to hate the Giants. So why spent a lot of money for a game I'm not even interested in.
