nice pad intro
is that a piano? it sounds really weak
i reckon u could improve the melody on that bassline, maybe just change that 4th bar
dont know if it would sound any better it just doesnt sound good to me
like the breakdown at 5min
nice fade in to the beat, maybe had a snare or a effect just before the kick comes in
overall its a bit long, i think it gets quite repitive but i just dont like that vocal
i probably wouldnt like the original either

wouldnt really call it trance, probably closer to house

Thanks for the comments sm44, you were totally spot on! After reading that I realised it was a bit of a half-arsed attempt and that I hadn't really finished it, take a listen now hopefully its an improvement it sounds a bit more like trance now!
