Progressive isn't dead. Not by a long shot. While Minimal, Electro House, and Tech House sweep the shops and our own airwaves, there has been a growing demand for the classic progressive sound that has defined Proton since our inception.
Jay Epoch's Particles compilation series returns for its fourth installment with what we hope will satisfy our listeners' demands for quality progressive house. Episode 4 - "Mulholland" features Particles veterans Ray & Peter and Joel Armstrong along with the Proton Music debut of resident DJ Naveen G with 'Roots Grow Deep'.
The focus, as with previous Particles, is on melody, atmosphere, and progression. From the powerful chord's of "Self Love", to the spacey beats of "Eye Are See" and "Spacesuit", Jay Epoch crafts a worthy follow up to January's "Kaori" compilation filled with emotion and slick transitions.
Fans of Jay Epoch's numerous progressive breaks broadcasts on the station are rewarded with Armstrong's "Runaway Reject" which features the vocals of Derek Kehler. If you liked 'Serenity' or have missed quality progressive breaks, do not miss this one!
The DJ mix is available alongside all singles in unmixed format. Remix packs featuring interpretations of the featured singles will be released in the coming months!
