At only 20 years old, Michigan native Chris VanderKolk (better known as Retrobyte) and his productions are already making waves in the dance music industry.
Not one to be bound by genres, Chris' sound ranges from smooth progressive grooves, to bouncy and banging house with an electro flair. After a couple of releases on various independent digital labels, his breakout hit "Going Down" found a home on Gabriel & Dresden's own Organized Nature label, earning him fans the world-over, and solidifying his place as a part of the upcoming generation of ground-breaking house and progressive producers.
After mentors Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden his keen ear for dance floor destruction, Chris remixed their Billboard #1 hit "Tracking Treasure Down," and it was subsequently played on their 2006 Essential Mix with Pete Tong. Chris' original productions and remixes have also garnered support from some of the world's top DJs, including Sander Kleinenberg, Matt Darey, Above & Beyond, Andy Moor, D:Fuse, Flash Brothers, Noel Sanger, and Steve May.
Between finishing up various tracks that have already been signed to some of his favorite labels, Chris is currently working on a handful of remixes, an EP, and a follow up to "Going Down" to be unveiled at 2007's Winter Music Conference in Miami. With a deep passion for what he does, in the end Chris' primary goal is to continue to make the music that he loves, and with his talent in tow he’s bound to appeal to listeners and clubbers alike by doing just that.

When it comes to synthesizers and dance music, few artists can equal the sheer scope of Francis Preve's contributions to the milieu. A musician since the age of six, Preve's career spans over a decade of chart-topping electronica on both sides of the Atlantic. As a producer, Francis has remixed artists as diverse as Gabriel & Dresden, Hilary Duff, Orbital, Scissor Sisters, Jacinta, Amber, Salt-n-Pepa, Thrill Kill Kult, and D:Fuse. He's no stranger to Hollywood either, having contributed to film soundtracks for Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, and Touchstone Pictures.
Not content to simply compose and produce music, Preve is also intimately involved with the design of modern synthesis technology. As one of the principal sound designers for Ableton and a key player in the development of Tascam/Nemesys's award-winning GigaStudio, Francis' vision helps create the tools that his peers rely on for their compositions. Accordingly, music technology companies like Korg and Antares have tapped him to develop original presets for their hottest new synthesizers and software, as well as consult on overall product strategy and direction.
