Triple J want you to remix Bloc Party
| quote: | The list of producers to have remixed Bloc Party is pretty impressive, with The Streets, Phones, Ladytron, Death From Above 1979 and Four Tet all having had a go over the UK indie band’s career to date. How’d you like to see your name added to the list? Read on!
So far in 2007 triplejunearthed.com have given a platform for singer-songwriters, rock, punk and hardcore artists to have their music heard, and now it’s time for the nation’s underground dance producers to get a go in the spotlight. And with Bloc Party offering up the parts to their track ‘The Prayer’, chances are you’ve never quite had an opportunity this good before.
The remix parts are available now for download from triplejunearthed.com now, and if your rework of ‘The Prayer’ impresses the band most you and a friend will be invited to attend one of their shows this August, and taken backstage to have a chinwag about your remix. You’ll also get yourself a signed block mounted poster.
Entries are open until midnight on Sunday July 8th, and the winner will be announced on July 20th. Get cracking! |
This is pretty cool-- they provide the parts of the song for you to mix on the tripple J website, and then you just go hog-wild... sounds like fun IMO, might give it a go-- wonder what mike could do with this...?? hehe
