Dunno Overprotective of gear?

I got a new room mate a little while ago and he's starting to get under my skin. I known him about a year before he moved in so we are pretty cool. He doesnt have a computer yet so the doll i am i let him use it, set up an account and what not. Welp one day i come home from work and he is wearing my headphones (Beyerdynamic DT990 Pros) blasting some crappy rap. I stood there for a second and looked at him im like "that mother ******" in my head but im like they are just headphones....300 dollar headphones eventually i blew it off, whatever right.

Then i come home at lunch today and he left a god damn sandwich wrapper all nasty on my MIDI keyboard. WTF i dunno am i freaking out for nothing. I'm going to tell him off today fuck that yeah and he ate one of my tuna packs.........

Do you guys get heated when people mess with your gear?

Fuck

Haha, just wait until you do house parties!

Honestly though, you got to be protective.
If I wasn't I would have had to spend a lot on new headphones.

I am very overprotective of my gear (see my security thread :toocool. The shit isn't cheap and I don't care who thinks I'm being a prick - unless they have the money to replace it, they don't touch it... let alone when I'm not around. Not only that, but you were cool and gave him a shot - he left shit on your gear... he blew his chance. Just lay some ground rules for the new roomie... otherwise you'll come home and find bread crumbs on your keyboard, a speaker blown, and some "improvements" to the song you were working on.

EDIT: On the other hand, if he's a cool roomate, always possible to just ask him to treat the stuff more respectfully. Just depends on the person you're talking to.

Next time he leaves a sandwich out (uneaten) leave you midi keyboard on it, and wait for him to ask why you crushed his lunch

and dude, not that I wanna freak you out (avatar etc.), butthat's just what you've caught him doing. What about the half litre of coke he spilled on it last week while you were out.

The point is, don't let people use your kit who don't have the same respect that you have for it.

I bet he'd get well shitty with you if you left a sandwich wrapper on one of his (C)rap CD's.
