Just got back from Virgin. Tiesto dropped an hour-long set that included plenty of stuff from the new album - Carpe Noctum, a mix of Break My Fall, Bright Morningstar, In The Dark. Also in the set was a new mix of Flight 643, Tears From the Moon and a pumped up version of Jose Gonzalez - Crosses (anyone know who did this remix?). And he also spun Dance 4 life .
Anyways, my favorite part of the night came afterwards when he was signing autographs. I rushed home after work to get some things done beforehand and got the new Time Out New York in the mail. Flipping through, the lead page in the clubs section has an interview with Tiesto. I gave it to him to sign and the look on his face was priceless - absolutely not expecting it. He asked what magazine it was and said he liked how it came out. I also gave it to his managers and they passed on a similar 'nice piece' comment.
Hope everyone going to the shows has a great time. I'd be there, but I have to pack and head out of town on Friday. Also enjoyed talking with two guys from CT (my old stomping ground). The names escape me right now, but tomorrow is their first EDM event and they're eagerly looking forward to it.

got there seemed like every single person in the crowd had a digicam and was holding it up taking pictures/video - those camera companies got to be swimming in it.
decent set - crowd was really loud and into it - made it fun

Tiesto feat. BT - Break My Fall (Adam Kay + Pettigrew + Soha Remix)
Crosses is apparently Tiesto's remix of the track. Overall I loved his track selection and he fit a TON of songs into an hour. No he didn't trainwreak for all those doubters. It was nice. Tiesto seemed pretty happy but some of the people there were "major" they gave me the whole pop music vibe.
I told some pushy guy to calm down because he was definitely bugging being that close to Tiesto. He relies "he isn't just any DJ, I've been listening to him since 1999" as if that's supposed to be impressive.

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

Yes, the crows was into it, but there was definitely some of those people, and it was very young - a lot of college aged people (not surprising given the location.)
LOL at that guy, I wonder what else he would have said, "I was there when Tiesto recorded Magik 1, 2, 3 and 6. I was there, I was there."

I think it was great for such small space. First time I saw Armin Van Buuren last week and now Tiesto, and next month is Paul Van Dyk, so I'm very excited. It was great seeing him and listening to his songs. He did some pretty good beats there though.
And btw,
Does anybody know the Press that was there?
There was one lady from like VNN or something like that?
Anybody have more info on that? A website or something?
There was also a guy taking pictures with his camera, and as far as i know he had press as well.. Anything about that?
