I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the Tiesto show at Cowboys. I must say that i had an awesome time! While I will agree with you that the line to get in the venue was frustrating (because it was so long), I do believe Cowboys did their best to try to speed up the entry process. They did recognize the waiting line fiasco, and proceeded to open an additional entry way. You cannot expect them to get 2000 people in the front doors in a matter of minutes. There are procedures and precautions (such as checking ID's) that is required by law when hosting an event such as Tiesto. I'm not sure about everyone else on this forum, however, most shows I have been to have waiting lines, and with a venue as large as Cowboys, it is to be expected. If you were so concerned about seeing the opening sets, you should have been better prepared and gotten to the show sooner. I think it is unreasonable to expect Cowboys to cater to you because you feel like you shouldn't have to wait in line like everyone else... oh, and Cowboys cannot control the weather. If you did not want to wait in the rain then go home.
As for the screens, I am unsure why you felt they were unnecessary. They are there to be visually stimulating. I would be disappointed if there were NOT screens on a stage with Tiesto on it. It sounds to me like you had nothing better to do than to show up and to complain. I highly doubt you would have been satisfied regardless of the evenings events. Tiesto was great (much better than last yrs show). I did hear the speakers glitch a time or two, but it was so minor you really didn't notice. No show ever goes 100% perfect, and i think it is ridiculous to expect it to. Yes, candy kids were present, but guess what GET OVER IT! If you don't like them, then you need to start listening to some reggetone.
I go to these shows to have fun and have a great time dancing and listening to the music. I would suggest lightening up and have a better attitude. You will always have a bad time if you go into a situation negatively.
Kudos to the party producers! It was wonderful and I cannot wait until next year!

I hope Tiesto up here at the Palladium will go well. I have never been to this venue, but apparently it holds big concerts like this often. So I'm hoping they are used to this, got the organization, sound systems, and everything else down.
I cannot wait!

first off as we serious tranceaddicts we personally feel parties like this lack in good music. your attending that event as a just a... ametuer clubber(callin it how i see it).
i know sky throws fckn awesome shows that cowboys cant really touch. fine system n all that.
as for the screens thing... you know ecstasy is also visually stimulating but it isnt unnessary to have it at a place were electronic music played. i remember a time in houston where every one would go off into a warehouse and have a fckn blast. no lights no screens. to say that the plasmas r necessary because they are visually stimulating is just a lame excuse to put out that it needs THAT to make the music more appealing. i wouldnt attend a tiesto show for the music. i can personally relate with the ' bored guy '
sry this isnt typed well. i got 2 ****s trying to speak to me @ the same time. oh and carlos and steve... you guys rock.

ametuer clubber I am not. I will assume that your guess is from my lack of participation on this forum.
Tiesto is an entertainer and with someone as high up on the edm scale, you are expected to put on a damn good performance with all the bells and whistles.
There are always peeps who do not wish to dance. There are always the annoying, inconsiderate people who think its okay to sit on someones shoulders and block the view for everyone behind them. I see the big screens as a way to help entertain several types of party goers.
Everyone enjoys different elements of a performance. I myself enjoy the screens since i am to short to see much of anything else. If i wanted nothing more than the music alone, I can stay home and listen to a CD in a closet. When going to a club performance, i expect a lot more than sitting in the dark.
