thanks for the replies and the link. i got new ortofons so the needles aren't a problem anymore. when i recorded that mix i was using two-year old stantons that i used to skratch with as well so i knew i was due for a pair. as far as cleaning records what is recommended. i currently do not clean my records on a consistent basis and i am sure that contributed to some of the skipping if not all. what do you guys think of gruv-glide? should i fork over the cash for that or are there better and more economical ways? what's the best thing to do?
