I'm visiting Austin in September and would like some fellow TA advice on where to stay. Money isn't an issue and I'd like to be near Sixth Street.

Don't worry...I'm from Calgary so I'm a non-a$$hole canuck - we have more in common with Texas then we do with Toronto and the rest of eastern Canada.

Chad - you don't happen to be hitting up Austin City Limits do you? As for a hotel... we just booked a couple of nights for the weekend of ACL at some shithole called North Austin Plaza Hotel & Suites. It's not downtown (it's about 6 miles North of downtown) but it was cheap: $60 per night incl. tax.

I always stay at the Hilton Garden Inn its like a walking distance to 6th street

Get one of dem classy joints wif hourly rates!!!
