random nights like last night = fun (im still kind of tipsy from last night)

that was my first time out @ mod club on a friday for an exposed event and I really liked it!

and when I sobered up to the point where I could actually pay attention to the music that james talk was playing (lol) I was digging it! especially the last few tunes to his set ... huntemann mix of crocodile (yea yah)! and I think he played like 3 pryda tunes within the last 30 minutes! balaton, madderferrys and he closed out with genesis (sickkkkk)!

I cant wait to peep ricky ryan there!

James Talk was next level. He totally pulled the dance floor in on Friday and dropped bombs bigger than I've heard in a loooong time. Total pro, wicked dude, amazing vibe all night.

yea, i agree... my first time there on friday, and i had a lot of fun too!

everything felt right about the place, the crowd, the music, the club...

I wasn't planning on coming, but plans changed at the last minute. Went for drinks with a friend of mine right after work. On the way to meeting him, my heal completely came off my shoe (bought the shoes a week ago, *sob*) After five drinks we decided to go out, but before that I had to stop by the store and buy a new pair of shoes ( which I did) First, salsa dancing; then, made it to the Mod Club. I had my huge work bag with clothes from Thursday with me, which was pretty heavy..grr...(chilled at one of my girlfriend's the night before and stayed there).

Andy Reid started a little slow, but picked up later, thanks God. I enjoyed his set, but couldn't wait for him to drop something hard, which he did after a while. Then, James Talk took over. Wow, he was amazing. Played a few tracks, which were like *perfect* for my taste of music. At times, I don't remember, since was intoxicated by shots and beer more than I should have. I remember dancing by the stage, which is always fun. Then, I randomly went and changed my shirt in the bathroom...LOL..That's when I knew I was drunk and needed to head home. Left at about four, I think. The random night turned out to be a success, for sure :P

Ahahah, seems to be the theme of the evening! I wanted to say that the music was up and down...but it wasn't the music, it's just that every time I went to the bar to buy drinks/shots, I stopped paying attention.

But when I'd get back to the dancefloor, Talk was on fucking point. Everything I was expecting and a little bit more...some grimy doses of acid towards the end there, yumyumyum!

MOD club is so conducive to nothing but good times...I swear it's the space and crowd itself that makes it that way. I don't think it matters what DJ plays, or even what they play...the vibe seems like it will be consistent regardless. I love that...because even though music is the reason for being there, the vibe doesn't depend on it, and that really makes a huge difference in how I enjoy my night. Less pressure, y'know?


Anyways, yeah good times. Lots of TAs in the house, good to see everyone. I love Exposed!!


OH! And being able to take your drinks outside?? So fucking win!!
