With the attractive price on Logic Pro 8, I'm thinking of switching from Cubase. (Mostly becuase it seems like it takes forever to do even simple things in Cubase.) For anyone who has used both of these programs, what is the learning curve on Logic Pro like compared to Cubase?

As a user of both i personally Cubase found much more difficult to get to grips with ... the instrument tracks and plug-ins in Logic are excellent!

Is logic Mac only?? I never thought about it. I've actually considered giving Logic a try. I use windows, so dunno if I can.

Okay, before you speak such rubbish, at least know your subject. Now, all desktop Macs ship with a mouse that has a left and a right mouse button as well as a scroll wheel. They've been shipping this mouse for more than 2 years now. I hear this shit way too much and I am tired of this ignorance. Mac OS X is far superior to Windows XP and Vista for creative professionals and amateurs alike. I am a Computer Technician by trade (for PCs) that has produced using a plethora of Windows sequencing apps (Reason and Sonar make the cut). Logic rocks! Can't wait to buy Logic Pro 8 (200 dollar upgrade naiice)
I am not trying to get on a high horse. Sorry if you get that impression.

OSX vs Windows (Mac and PC are no longer different hardware platforms) is purely a matter of personal preference. Fact is, you'll get the job done with either. Aside from software apple has purchased at steep costs for anti-competitive measures, most creative software is available for both Mac and PC.
I prefer PC. More flexible, less money, and doesn't lock me into Apple's narrow concept of how things should be.

LOL. I know dude, I was joking when I said that. I use a Macbook and I'm well aware that I can do the two-finger click to right-click. Or even plug in a mouse with two buttons. (oh my) The absurdity of the comment implies its humor.
