so im staying at this house and they have wireless. my laptops wireless card picks up the connection but for some reason, cannot connect to it. i have a linksys notebook adapter card. any ideas why this is? im having intarweb withdrawal!!!

if it is not asking for pass it is probably mac address filtering. you need to enter your mac address into the router's settings or just reset the router

might require just a router restart if it snot mac filtering.. routers can fuck thesmelves

its not password protected. what the hell is a mac filter and how do i find it, and what do i do from there?
Turn off the router for at least 10 seconds and the power it up again..that usually works..

tried restarting the router and then my laptop. nothing... i have a mac id for my wireless card in my laptop.. but their mac filtering is disabled so i should be able to access their connection immediately anyway... what the hell?
