I just heard from a good source that DJ Mag has already called on some of the DJs who are still in the TOP 100 mark for 2007 to do interviews since yesterday??Has anyone heard similar..They just stopped the voting yesterday!wtF?

Its because they already know who the top 100 are, and in order to put together their Top 100 issue, they approach each DJ and ask them a set of questions which are then published with their placing in the magazine. Its just the fact they dont publically announce the list for a few weeks.

Yea but how can they count the votes and gather them so quickly at the same time call on those djs for interviews.
They started contacting the top 100s the same day they closed the poll..

I figure they could've started calling up DJs halfway through the voting time frame.. It is easy to look at results mid-way and extrapolate from that who is likely to be in the top 100 spots... obviously there will be shifting of positions but I'm pretty confident that any extreme jumps after that point are rare (given the volume of votes already in)

i could probably tell u most of the dj in the top 100 right now so it wouldnt be hard to work out what interviews to organise
