The gun was fully loaded with 14 bullets, including one round in the chamber, Shiflet said. The girl walked down a hallway into the school gymnasium where she confronted one of the coaches and pointed the pistol at him, Shiflet said. She then pointed the pistol at another coach who confronted her, Shiflet said. School officials immediately put the school on lockdown and contacted a deputy constable who was on the campus. The deputy constable ordered the girl to surrender the weapon three times, before she did so, Shiflet said. The girl was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. The case remains under investigation. School district officials could not be reached for comment late Friday.
