The Tomorrow People - Homewrecker - Digital Remedy - Out Now
As we enter the labels first birthday month, Digital Remedy serve up it’s 6th release in what has been an outstanding debut year. Taking the helm for this release we have The Tomorrow People, the guise of label owner Lee Haslam and good friend Paul Maddox of recent Spektre fame. This is not the first time the duo have worked together, in fact they had a single out using this guise back in 2004 on tidy but after a long wait they are back and with what can only be described as a non conventional affair.
“Home Wrecker” is far removed from their last outing and uses a cool fusion of tech trance and electro. It combines a quirky and plucky melody with a down right filthy lead synth line to great effect before the pair introduce a very eerie yet capturing melody in the break. This soon dissipates into a riotous build up before all hell breaks loose after the break. Early plays from Judge Jules & Eddie Halliwell giving it Radio One support already!
On remix duties Digital Remedy have recruited the up and coming talent of Joey V. Many of you will know Joey from his smash hit “Chopperchunk” and since then he has been firm favourite with DJ’s and labels alike. Joey does a great re-work of the original giving it more of a peak time feel which has made it into the sets of Paul Van Dyk over recent weeks.

Mixmag Review by Guffy:
Lee Haslam and Tidy protégé Paul Maddox are behind this alias but for the harder fans, it's going to be the flipside that gets the airplay for me. The talented Cornwall-born youngster Joey V delivers a dirty tech version that crosses trance and hard lines perfectly with its crisp percussion and filtered breaks.

IDJ Review:
This is ‘Digital Remedy’s’ sixth release and it was produced by label boss ‘Lee Haslam’ and ‘Paul Maddoox,’ aka ‘The Tomorrow People.’ The ‘Original’ is a tech-trancer with subtle electro influences and the remix by newcomer ‘Joey V’ is in a similar vein but with a more of a hard-dance slant. Both work a treat on the dance floor and its well worth seeking out. DS.
