Cubase switch

I'm switching to cubase.
Few questions.
How easy is it to catch on?
Does it have a step sequencer?
Tell me what I need to know.

Don't switch.

If you need to ask these questions, you're not ready.

its not to hard to catch on...it just takes going through the manual. Yes it does have a step sequencer...but it is a little different to set up than your regular Reason or FLoops type. The step sequencer is a midi plug-in and in my opinion is way better than a regular step sequencer.

I would switch. Dont be worried about being ready or not...its about wanting to learn or not. I tried Cubase 5.0 back in the day and I hated it so much..so I went to Nuendo..then when Cubase Sx came out it used Nuendo style engine, so i crossed over. I love it now.

Imo, compared to latest FL versions or Ableton Live, Cubase is easy one to grasp. You can first do most stuff using the top menus (familiar with Windows enviroment), later learn key commands which make your workflow much faster.

Its easy if u know a few basic things such as setting up channels, assigning VST instruments and effects.

I dont think you will like the step sequencer, it`s complicated.. i have only tried it briefly, but i believe u can only play a note at a time.

...

He's "switching" to Cubase because he percieves it to be better, yet he doesn't know anything about it (eg. if it has a step sequencer). Think about it dude...

Echo has a point. But he's still a toolshed.

Why don't you go down to your local Guitar Center, or hopefully a better local pro-audio store and play with display versions of DAW software?

Or download a demo? Steinberg, unfortunately, doesn't have "demo" versions of their software, nor does Digidesign. They are ****-rags because of this.

Lol, I didn't know that the four letter C word was censored. How cute.
