I agree with that statement to some extend, I dont like when people say that I listen to trance, I listen to "Electronic dance music". Trance is part of that and yes Im getting sick of the current trance style, the same damn boring uplifing NRG strings, the same Beat, no innovation lately.
There are some exceptions. This the main reason I have been listening to techno, breaks and progressive latley. There are some DJs that take trance into a new direction, such as tiesto but above all it must be Paul Oakenfold, that man is amazing and take strance to a new direction.
I still love trance, but it is not what it used to be, so plz dont flame me and accept my opinion

WERD! My sentiments exactly.
Progressive isn't boring, I love it and I think it's a respectable genre in its own right.
I love trance as much as the first time I heard Saltwater, but very VERY few tracks now get me as excited as I used to. Face it people, there are more ordinary tracks out there now than there are classic ones.
I'm into progressive trance lately; you know.. the old build and build and build, and then just a hint of synth lines to get you excited..ahhhh. Look at my sig.
