Actually, I'd be curious about this from a production point of view as well. I need a controller and a new audio interface, will the zero8 (zero 4's big brother) do both these things? I basically need an interface with a whole lot of ins and outs (at least 8+), I was considering the M audio NRV10, but the zero 8 looks like it might be good for live work as well, which is something I'm thinking about getting into.
What I'm really curious about, is whether the 8 ins are discrete inputs (that is, whether you can record 8 seperate tracks into your DAW) or whether there are 8 jacks and a mixer in the zero 8, which then passes a stereo signal to your DAW. Can anyone answer this? Also what else sets this apart from the NRV10, aside from the onboard EQ, effects and crossfader.
EDIT: also what's the latency/performance like generally? Sound quality?

EDIT: also what's the latency/performance like generally? Sound quality? | Since I've gotten little feedback on 3 forums, I know you will get little also.
On the ableton forums someone mentioned that the sound quality wasn't that good but there basis of comparison was a Xone 32 or something like that. Allen and Heath equipment is usually going to sound better.
I'm curious on the I/O and effects..
And more feedback from..........someone.
