Rowling told the audience that while working on the planned sixth Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," she spotted a reference in the script to a girl who once was of interest to Dumbledore. A note was duly passed to director David Yates, revealing the truth about her character. Rowling, finishing a brief "Open Book Tour" of the United States, her first tour here since 2000, also said that she regarded her Potter books as a "prolonged argument for tolerance" and urged her fans to "question authority." Not in reference to this specifically, but it pissed me off that she gave such a vague, unsatisfying ending to book 7, then just goes out and says 'yeah X Y Z happen afterwards,' in interviews.

I mean fuck would it have been that hard to just include that shit in the ending. I mean there was a fucking '20 years later' epilogue, how can you not just take a page or two out of that to fill people in on what actually happened in those 20 years.
