FEDERICO EPIS - Currently in the top 10 in Beatport's Progressive Chart with Brasilia
Beatport
There's been quite a wave of electronic music talent sweeping out of South America in the last couple of years of tsunami like proportions. Brazil have given us the likes of CSS and Gui Boratto, Chilean exiles Luciano and Villalobos and Argentinian superstar Hernan Cattaneo to name but a few.
Now it's a Uruguayan who's star is most definitely in the ascendency, Federico Epis.
After only starting to make electronic music a mere 4 years ago he's already caught the eye of some of dance music's high flyers counting the likes of Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and our own Dave Seaman amongst his many admirers. Infact, it was Sasha who first jumped on the track you have here the barnstorming "Brasilia" when he played it on his Radio 1 Essential mix live from Amnesia, Ibiza. From there Audio Therapy quickly snapped it up and sought remixes from two more upcoming talents rapidly gaining reputations for themselves as "one's to watch".
Firstly, out of Italy, Robytek turns in a techier and all round grittier mix with its Bladerunner-esque bassline, which looks set to further the hype surrounding this super hot new producer following on from the success of his single "Sun" on Rebirth . AMB of Chi Recordings fame provides the second remix and takes the track in a much more driving direction with cascading melodies and sonic washes giving a clear indication of what can be expected of him in the near future.
Quite a varied package, we're sure you will
agree. We hope that there is something that
tickles your fancy.

Scope
Scope is Belfast based DJ and producer Ric McClelland. His sound is heavily influenced by his versatile DJ style and encapsulates many elements from the modern electronic music genres. Melodic and soulful yet deep and techy, its music that grooves through different vibes whilst keeping an eye on the dance floor.
As a DJ Ric has worked his way up through the ranks, from running his own nights to playing at the top clubs around his home country. Much experience has been gained playing alongside the likes of Tiefschwarz, Rob Mello, Jazzanova, D'Julz, Ame, Jimpster, Ben Watt and even Gilles peterson! This helped Ric make the move up to the next level, that for most DJ's is music production. Experimenting with different techniques and equipment, it wasn't long before he found his sound. Realizing the importance of musicality as well as dance floor appeal, Ric strives to bridge the gaps between Soulful House, Deep House and Tech House.
"Music production is fascinating to me. As a creative outlet, it compliments what i'm doing week in and week out in the clubs. As there is so much top notch House music around these days, it's great to go out and get inspired and then bring that back to the studio. I'm not about breaking new ground with my music, for me it's about the essentials which is making quality sounds for the head and the feet!".
The melodic vibes of Last Call and hypnotizing sounds of Strung Out are just a taster of what's to come!
