I posted this same question in the headphones thread but haven't received a response yet.

Hopefully someone can help me on this one.
I currently have the Sony V6 headphones and was wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to the 7506.

I heard the only difference was the 7506 are gold platted.

What are your thoughts?
