Now, everywhere I look I'm bombarded with this tech house, electro house, "minimal" and minimal techno. So, is there any new good music out there we used to listen in the 90-ies? Like ambient techno, ambinet breaks, prog. breaks, jungle (not d&b), goa (not psy), psybient, dub techno, idm (but real idm, not some shit), trip hop, acid techno...
Let's turn this thread into alt-recommendations (but only releases from 2007) thread!

Yeah but the guy want "new oldschool" (and 2007 releases), but I agree the message is quite confusing.
Is it OK if we have some old nu-skool to propose though?
Seriously, I think the best is still to listen to "oldschool" that was made during the time it was not yet labelled "old". There may be a few gems released recently that may sound like the good old days though...

I don't want oldschool. I want some good new releases (from 2007) of abovementioned oldschool genres (maybe this is not the best term). Basically, new releases of genres and subgenres that are, let's say, "dead" these days

Well, 90% of time I do listen to old tunes and albums. I have a feeling that I've heard it all...
But I'm really interested how this music sounds these days, made with today's instruments, software and all...
For example, I was really excited about Spicelab's revival, and I expected again some weird, spacey 15+ minute tunes filled with acid. But unfortunately, Oliver decided for some shitty mnml/tech house tunes that he could as well released under Solieb alias

- Joris Voorn - From A Deep Place
- Aril Brikha - Ex Machina
Two of my favorite albums this year. Sweet atmospheric techno. Maybe you've hear em already, in that case let's just appreciate.

I tought of the Joris Voorn album as well. The guy nailed the Detroit feel pretty well, to the points some of the sounds he used seemed to have been taken in Carl Craig tracks.

Eddie Fowlkes latest record might also be a good "oldschool" place to look. Definitely very traditional in its sound. Too much, in fact, as I was disappointed. Sounded like a lot of Detroit tracks I already have... but give the samples a try at least.

I have this since a few month and enjoyed this album. Quite traditional as you said but well done and not trying hard to stick to the sound of the moment.
Other releases of interest out this year:
Neil landstrumm - restaurant of assassins. I haven't got this yet but it sounds awesome and inventive from the samples. It's grime/dubstep
Quince - en.vi.sion. Quality and well composed detroitish techno. sounds timeless
Arne Weinberg - path of the gods. As above.
various releases from E.R.P in 2007 on frustrated funk and AW recordings
Dark Energy - Collided Energy . A 2xCD compilation of Suburban Knight works. Dark electro/techno withoout comromise
DJ Jus-Ed - Unity Kolabo. Raw classic quality house music that doesn't try to show off the latest production technique
The black dog - Book of dogma. 2xCD compilation of their works, remastered. Still love those older tracks today.
Look for releases of Future Beat alliance, Terrace, The Moderator for some quality music.
