Monkey Dancer 2 [House] Chris Crossland - You Remind Me

Maybe funky house? I loved making this, spent at least 15 hours on it all together. I'm quite happy with the results. Let me know what you think!

Its a solid little house tune. I hope you didn't do that 15 hours straight I would need a pack of redbulls..

My favorite part is the bass line. simple but cool and driving, although I kept waiting for a breakdown where it would go away but it never came.
You have a solid loop but no theme changes. Add some breakdowns kill the kick and bass line two or three minutes in build up then bring it back. Do that a couple times at least.

its a groove though no doubt. I like!!

At first I'm NOT digging the small room reverb on the kick drum... not neccesarry for a kick IMHO. The syths sound pretty good at first then it starts to sound kind of cheesy. It almost seems like you need to approach the mastering from another angle before this could be listenable. The bassline dominates the track, the piano doesn't have any presense at all. The mix down could potentially sound good because you have orchestrated it well. But the EQ and all of that is not working for me. I wouldn't play this at a party or anything like that.
