worst, if-not-technically, producer ever
he would be better off making hard house. this style for trance is disgusting. fucking hate they offbeat basslines. i hate the cleanliness and the over compression, everything sounds fused, nothing stands out. this is the style that has killed trance over the past couple of years. boring as fuck, no soul.
i prefered the less perfect, brasher, more spontaneous classic style, more techno with melodies. todays trance has no class.

Well, I think itīs kinda funny. As soon as a DJ / Producer that was raved for years starts going big everybody bashes his style.
Same with Tyas I think.
I love his productions and I love his sound I think itīs a cool and indeed a very classic approach to Trance. On the other hand, Tyas has done a lot of things that are not "offbeat bass", so I think its wrong to redcue him to this sound.
Of course, he has more of a signature sound than most other producers have and many productions follow a similar approach, but I donīt think this is a particularly bad fact. I think itīs cool if a Producer has a signature sound that you can "rely" on...

its just the over produced clean sound i hate. its the opposite of acoustic/organic. its not the position (offbeat) of it that i hate, its his particualr bass its just mind numbingly boring as fuck.
the stuff played every week by avb in they god awful state of trance sets. close in style to the sound of marc van linden. i think it has no soul. too clean, stale.
i u like that style then fine, but im more likely to get goosebumps watching an episode of sabrina the teenage witch.
if marc van linden and sean tyas are at one end of the scale, then the opposite would be tunes like mark norman - niagara, Y traxx - mysteryland, nalin + kane - open your eyes.
i just think tyas tunes are soulless and empty. may be fine for pumping out in a club, through a fuck off speaker system, but thats about it.
