Hey guys, I'm new here. I'm not a DJ by any stretch, but am making a website for my buddy, and wanted to know what you guys think of this sample he sent me today.

the track is very out dated... sounds are very simple without a lot of texture. that's all i was saying.

Ok, having a listen. Like those synth sounds but they seem to be introduced in a bit of a sudden way. The stringy saw is a bit of a boring instrument, add automation or something? What an interesting melody line with an interesting instrument too. In fact I'm loving that. The percussion sounds strange, doesn't really fit or build energy in this short sample, also there are no transitions which doesn't really work. Sounds like a fairly decent work in progress.

Post a longer sample.
