yeah i hear ya man,
but you are going trough these things that happens to most ppl.

i thought my life sucked when i was in high school. now whenever i have these thoughts, i just think about those poor hungry kids in africa, then my life isnt that bad anymore.

yeah.. that kinda sucks, and i hear you man.. i get stressed out sometimes too. i work full time, 40 hours a week minimum, but i am here for 45, and usually more like 50 or 60 with overtime, which i don't get paid for.

but, like redhot says, a lot of people have it worse.

complaining is a slap in the face to about 4 billion people on this planet.

so.. just grin and bear it, and try to make things better for yourself.

Ah, I know it's still more work but I hear it's overall more fun. I don't plan on to a very hardcore college either. I have problems getting organized and I procrastinate too much. If I can fix these things by college it will be better. I'm really plagued with these problems now and its hard to fix them.

hmm I have the same prob highschool & shitloadz (and I mean SHITLOADS!!!) of homework.... anyway I dont party every weekend... I do it every other weekend.. the weekends I dont party I just rest.. Sleep long and just rest all day...

i remember feeling way too stressed in high school. for me, it only got worse through college. you have to learn to live with it and enjoy life at the same time, because chances are, it is not going to get easier.

when i started working full time i felt a lot less stressed, but it is so important to learn to have a good time while still meeting your responsibilities because even though I have less stress now, i've lost the freedom i had in college.

Just remember, the best things happen to you when you least expect them. Things will turn around.

well, its more fun until you realize that you need to get your act together and study... but in general i think its safe to say (this isnt meant to sound patronizing at all) that once you get to college you look back and realize how easy high school really was.. tho at the time, high school did seem difficult.

i procrastinate also, i have the same problem.. it took me two years to fix it at college, by that time i had fucked around too much, had too much "fun" so i had gotten behind in my classes, now, ill be lucky if i graduate in 5 years total (computer science major), and ive finally realized that school has to be the #1 thing in my life and my social life is on the side.

its a crappy lesson to learn... so it would be good if you could pick up those skills now, youll save yourself a lot of trouble at a university

I don't think its morally wrong to say "life sucks" when you're down because of people being worse off somewhere else in the world. That way only one person on the planet was ever entitled to utter the phrase.

The fact of the matter is that you compare yourself with your immediate surroundings and thus determine whether you have reason to be depressed from these comparisons. That's why you tend to feel your love life sucks when you've just visited recently engaged friends, your financial situation stinks when you see the sparkling new car in your neighbours garage etc. Being depressed has nothing to do with disregarding the poor of this world - it's simply a matter of understanding yourself and your position in the world that is real to you and finding out you're at a loss. Believe me - I know!

On another note: you should definately tell people if your feeling down (instead of just saying "I'm fine" to avoid questions), but don't make it a part of your personality - people hate being with persons that keep whining.

BACK TO THE TOPIC: Is it ok when you're in this kind of situation to say that life sucks? I know there's people who have so much harder for me. The whole thing is that I know life will get better for me...the Summer is close and I will be outta this whole thing then but nevertheless, life sucks at the moment. That's a shame about the German girl. About the assignments and tests: Do these FIRST, obviously! I care more about my education then almost ANYTHING in my life! When it comes to school/tests/assignments, I do my best, no matter HOW LONG IT TAKES! This seems to be why my social life is almost non-existant, because I don't care about it more than my education. The people that ask "how are you having fun", etc., are the same ones who don't care AT ALL and are getting low test scores. In others words, if you don't pay attention to what really matters in your life, it's harder to get ahead.

dude... after going through the radio program at the college here... i can honestly say that i could do what you're going through right now standing on my head...

i've been through it and i can say it sucks at the time, but looking back on that now after college, it's so miniscule in terms or what i had to go through...

life is a series of challenges, you have to take each one, prioritize, and tackle each one in pieces

so sit down, write a list even, and figure out what you have to do, how you can do it, and in what order you take on those challenges

heres what i do to try to get myself to do homework/prioritize/get things done.

ok, so im really obsessed with console rpgs. whenever i get a new one, all i want to do is play it. i take advantage of this fact... what i do is ill tell myself ok, you can play your game for an hour, but only after you get this math assignment done. or only after you have written the outline of this paper. etc. if there is something you really like to do as well, you might try that approach.
