though it seems to be covering vinyl sales in general incl other genres of music, not just EDM.
the trend in EDM at least is that vinyl is dying...

Hipsters are probably driving record sales because it is 'cool' to them, having vinyl is more of a fashion accessory to those ****ers

I've read articles in the recent past that back up and refute the claim that vinyl sales are picking up. It seems like the news on vinyl consumption just is not as reliable as CD sales.

for now.

But i think the secret is coming out on the crap quality of mp3s. One of the only reasons why big djs promote mp3s is because it means they dont have to carry around 3 crates of records on tour.

Im willing to bet that records will become a status symbol for high calibre djs once again since anyone can buy a laptop and download mp3s into their serato.
