Sunday Conversation with LaRussa, Parcells, and Knight
Thought there'd have been a thread on this already - but I usually don't enjoy the Sunday Conversation aspect of SC, but this weeks was epic. Had no idea these fellows were as closely knit as they are.
Anyone else catch it? Some great stories in there - if you haven't, you should track it down.
I'm not a huge baseball guy (though I did buy a 9 pack of tickets this year for the Brewers - I'm living in Milwaukee and love going to live baseball games, so why not?), so I don't know much about LaRussa beyond the obvious - but Parcells and Knight are two of my favorite sports personalities, so much so that when Parcells went to Dallas even I sort of want them to do well, and I hate the Cowboys.
Really just great stuff - whoever decided to do this was brilliant.

they are milking every minute of Knights time at ESPN during the tourny... the commercials showing his "highlights" are cheesy..
i do like hearing knight talk about baseball and other topics b/c you see him smile and enjoy talking about it... hearing him talk about basketball as a part of the media is bad tv... he doesnt say anything too clever... digger, bias, and dicky v all say stuff that matters...
i know its all about who he is more than what he has to say... blah blah... anything for publicity

Conversely, I really like hearing Knight talk about just about anything on ESPN right now - he's just so unrefined, so unpolished, I love it.
But I'm also a Bobby Knight fanboy - so meh, there's that.
