So I moved recently, and while moving the power cable to my mixer was lost. I do any another cable that works and fits well and is the exact szme as the one I lost, but the only problem is it goes to my external hard drive. So essentially I could have all my music (to use with SSL) or I could have my mixer turned on. Any ideas what I should do. I went to radio shack and they said they didnt have one with the right wattage or something of that sorts.

lol, they don't have a power cable with the right wattage?
Either they're idiots, or you aren't after a power cable alone, you're after a transformer/power supply. If it's just a power cable, it can't be that special as your external HDD cable is the same. Look harder for a new one. Should be CHEAP to replace too -- it's only a cable!
If it's a transformer/power pack, then 1) you're lucky your HDD is the same specs and you didn't blow your mixer 2) you should be able to get a suitable replacement from a non-shithouse (don't go back to that "radioshack") electronics store... and still should be pretty cheap
Can't help you with what stores to check as, well, I'm not in your country. Though I can say the store you went to sound like useless idiots and you shouldn't bother going there again.

yeah i was like WTF. so i talked to another guy and instead of saying the cable was for my mixer i said it was for the external (which i bought from them) and they were like 'we dont have one with enough wattage or some crap, so i said give me a one that will just work, and they said it would blow up, but honestly everytime they say that, it has yet to blow up.

Looks like all you need is a 9V AC adapter
