I'm looking for a VST plug-in, samples, or something else that has the sound of dark, melodic violins. This is an example of what I mean (ignore the vocals in the foreground):

I've checked out Atmosphere before. Too expensive for just one sound, which is all I'll be using it for.

I would second Atmosphere. You could look at Cakewalk's Dimension Pro which is a little more flexible. Although I've pretty much been addicted to Nexus and it pretty much has anything you could need.
