is there a Sony Soundforge equivalent for mac?

So I JUST made the switch from PC to Mac. One of my fav tools on the pc was sony soundforge. I really like how I could just edit my mp3s extremely easily on there (if i want to make a quick cut or insert a fadeout, without doing anything extremely complicated). I notice it is not available for Macs []. Can anyone reccomend a similar program to do the same things? I realize you could prob do the same type of thing with logic but ideally I just want something simple to handle small jobs like this.

Heh, not yet. All they have is "Soundbooth" for Mac which is a gutted, shit version of Adobe Audition. They have no plans to release Audition for the mac platform. Which is dissapointing because I don't like Bias Peak, or Wavelab, or Audacity.

I'm so picky.

Wavelab is available for Mac?

I've been looking for the same thing since I switched to Mac (formely using Sound Forge) - but nothing has really filled the void for me. I can't stand Audition, but it's what I'm using for now.

Whoops. My bad. Wavelab is NOT available for Mac, I used it on my PC and didn't like it all that much, although it does offer plenty of features (I'm not saying Wavelab is bad, it just wasn't to my liking)

Yeah its tough making the transition to a new program. I have been using soundforge for something like 6 or 7 years. Learning something new is always a pain in the ass
