Rip entire CDs = EAC (exact audio copy) to rip the CD to wav. Then use Lame to encode to mp3.

Rip individual CD trax = same as above, they do both very well!

Burn data CDs = There are a few good ones out there but I prefer Nero.

Burn audio CDs = Same as above.

Burn identical copies of audio = CloneCD

Burn identifcal copies of data = CloneCD

Try those programs out, they should do the trick very well. If you are going to use Lame to encode mp3s (which I HIGHLY recommended), also get a program called RazorLame, because it will give you a user interface to use instead of having to use commands like in dos.

Yep, I use all of these programs except EAC (which I've been meaning to check out...)

CloneCD and Nero are IMO the best CD-R programs, period. The only other one worth mentioning is CDRWIN. Don't even bother with Roxio's Easy CD Corruptor.. er. I mean Creator.

As for LAME, it's the best free MP3 encoder. Excellent quality.

I personally like to use Feurio for audio CD's. It has a good interface and allows for cuesheets etc.
For data CD's and copying CD's I use NTI CD Maker. There's nothing particularly special about it, it just came with the burner.
For ripping CD's, I use CDEx. It comes with the Lame encoder built in, so all you have to do is click on CD -> MP3 and it rips the CD and converts it straight to MP3 for you using the Lame encoder.
