DubSpot Sponsors NextAid w/ "Turntables on the Hudson" 6.27

Humanitarian organization NextAid teams up with DubSpot to sponsor the cost of building an ecological playground on the NextAid site in Dennilton, South Africa. Kicking off the campaign with supporters, the legendary Turntables on the Hudson crew is hosting a benefit event on Friday, June 27, 2008 from 8pm-2am at Water Taxi Beach, #2 Borden Avenue, LIC, NY 11101. The party features performances by DJs Nickodemus & Mariano + Nappy G & Christian Rogers on percussion & ZEB on Oud/Guitar. Special guest DJs Derek Beres & DubSpot's DJ GOV.

For directions, go to www.watertaxibeach.com.
For more info, go to www.turntablesonthehudson, email [email protected] or call 1877-DUBSPOT.

Donations collected at the event will go towards the playground that DubSpot has adopted. Those unable to attend the event can still support fundraising efforts by visiting http://www.dubspot.com/pages/nextaid.jsp.

The playground is part of NextAid's pilot project: an ecological children's center in South Africa that will serve as a safe home for 50 children orphaned by AIDS, a multi-purpose center for the greater community, and a model for best practices throughout Africa. NextAid broke ground in July 2005, kicking off the construction of the Dennilton center for Youth with a Vision (YWAV). To date, seven buildings and supporting structures are completed. Info about this project can be found at www.nextaid.org/multipurposecenter.htm

If you can't teach yourself how to DJ you're probably legally retarded.
