Fruityloops, hardware synths processing the sound with VST's

Just wondering if anyone out there has used Fruityloops as a sequencer for their hardware synth. If so, are you able to use the MIDI OUT in fruityloops to play the synth AND THEN processes that sound with VST effects in fruityloops.

I cant figure out how to process my synth sounds with the VST's.

A MIDI signal contains no audio information. It basically just sends control information to your synth. VST effects only process audio signals. So, in order to process an external hardware synth's signal with VST effects, you'll have to record the audio onto your computer. I don't know all that much about FruityLoops, but I think that this software is a little limited as far as hard-disk recording is concerned. You'll have better luck with something like Cubase, which is a full multi-track sequencing and recording suite.
