At the risk of being called a promoter (ewwwww), I couldn't resist in posting that I got official word The Basement is opening up again next weekend, Sunday August 10th, 5 am!
They're boasting renovations and a brand new sound system.
I hope Addy's opening! Can't wait to hear hear him ripping it up Sunday mornings again!!

Originally they closed it down to put in a sprinkler system to bring the place up to code in order to avoid the fire marshal's wrath..but then another party sparked up Sunday mornings (Aftermath, I think?). It wasn't the same thing as I was used to hitting up on Sunday mornings. I had pretty much lost hope in the original party coming back.
But now I hear the original crew is back with their original roster (Rudee, Paranoid Jack, El Duran, etc). I'm definitely looking forward to this!
Finally! I wondered if that place would ever re-open, They are re-opening just in time... So we have somewhere to spend our Sunday morning's tearing up the dancefloor again... It closed just as it was starting to get good and now it sounds like it will be back and better then ever.
