Hi!

(First of all, I'm sorry about my bad English and a long post)

I like sad, fast, powerful and majestic music (and all at the same time). There are some trance/rave/techno tunes that are like this but it's so hard to find them, so I was hoping that some of you hardcore trancers here could help me out a little, by recommending some artists or genres.

Example 1.

It's Alex M vs Marc van Damme - Died In Your Arms (original mix)

The part of the song that I like is the tune that starts 1:00 into the song, and it becomes better at 2:02 and even better again at 2:16 when they add little extra tune in the background.

I want to find music with this kind of fat sound (is it called "saw sound ?"), the build up thats weak at first then getting better and better, heavy base and allot of stuff going on at the same time, like different "scales" being played simultaneously. But preferably even faster, heavier and more powerful than the example I gave above.

Example 2.

Infected mushroom - Ministry of Angels (feat. yahel)

The beginning of the song sucks, but at 2:44 it suddenly turns and a magical beautiful build up begins. The sound is kind of sad, but still heroic and majestic in a way. Just the way I like it. At 3:39, things start to happen and you get a hint that the orgasm of the song is coming soon. At 4:00 it gets better and you feel that you are getting real close to the promised orgasm...... BUT THEN AT 4:07 THE SONG DIES!!! The first time I heard this song I got so excited during the build up and was expecting it to lead to something fast and powerful that would blow me away. To bad the creator of the song was an idiot and never made it the killer-song it easily could have become.

What I like about this song is that it's sad but still gives you that heroic feeling. I think of archangels and battles between heaven and hell, but thats me. Note though, anything but the part between 2:44 and 4:07 sucks ass!

I know that this is a big request but I hope that you can help me. Music is so important to me, sometimes it's even better than sex to hear a great song.

listen to the likes of Armin, Above & Beyond and Menno De Jong. You'll get as many sugar sweet supersaw breaks which will give you toothache.

Nah, as much as people slag off Armin et all, that type of trance is very different from the first example, which is that commercial euro-trance of the Basshunter variety. He should check out the releases on Harem Records:

As for the second example, I'm surprised IM did a collab with Yahel, and I guess that breakdown lends itself more to the Armin and A&B sound.
