So just downloaded a track off trackitdown.net, TV Heart Attack - Thirteen (Product.01 Remix). During the intro at around 59 seconds the track stutters/skips making it impossible to keep it in time with whatever I'm mixing out of. I've tried downloading the song again and got more of the same. What to do?

complain and you'll get your money back, but most likely won't get a fixed version of the track (at least from beatport or audiojelly, dunno if trackitdown is any different).
the problem is, it was a free download for voting for my favorite dj at djmag.com so I didn't pay for it. I actually ended up loving the track and can't get it on beatport.

then there's really nothing you could do. you could email them and try and maybe they'll give you a credit regardless?

email them and see if they'll notify the label and get a new file sent over to them.
also, try notifying the producer directly, explaining your situation, and see if he'll hook you up. shouldn't be a problem if the track was free...

the huys at TiD are decent guys, if the track has a skip on it im sure theyll give you another credit.
as for getting a fixed version of the track, they can ask the label or distributor for another copy, but other than that theres not really much the shops can do so as was suggested get in touch woth the producer if you can
What I did was email trackitdown but haven't received a response yet. I emailed Product.01 and send a myspace msg. One of the members named Rochelle got back to me, within an hour, and said she would contact the label and make sure trackitdown gets a proper copy, and then ensured me I would receive one too... Im stoked.

notify beatport... they notify the label and try to get another file. you get a credit. hopefully the label gives them a new file, and you use that credit to re-download.
