Help: Gmail on blackberry
Hey, Anyone else using gmail as their primary email account on blackberry?
I haven't been getting any emails or facebook messages since yesterday,
I called Rogers last night and they said that all the settings are correct and there shouldn't be any problems

The thing that I don't like about my Gmail-BB setup is that it automatically forwards a copy of every email I send, to my BB. From what I Googled, there's no real way around it...

Yes there is. Simply create a rule and it doesn't. I can probably find out how you do it again but you log onto your blackberry account and change the settings so you don't get mail from yourself.

I had a similar problem with the BES from work.
Gave it the ol' battery out, wait 30s, battery back in reset. Worked just fine ever since.

I had this problem as well actually. I removed my battery, reset the thing multiple times, deleted and re-added the account multiple times, and yet nothing.
I just ended up forwarding my gmail account through my domain instead, which worked just fine An inconvenience, but it worked out all the same in the end.

There is an easy way around it.
You have to login in to your BIS account where you setup the service books.
You can edit each email account and create a filter so that it won't sent a copy to yourself everytime.
Personally, i haven't set it up, but from what I hear that's the way to do. The only thing is I don't know if it stops all emails from yourself.
Ie. If you send yourself an email. I do that all the time. I send myself links from my gmail account on the internet to my blackberry.
Also Sasha, go to your BIS account and resend the service books.
that might help. That's usually what I have to do.
