Trance Fixation - Episode 30 (MegaMix Special) - 78 Tracks in 2 hours

Hey guys,

I am happy to present to you all my latest project. It is a a megamix consisting of 77 tracks in two hours. This is basically influenced by Armin's Yearly yearmixes, but this one isn't a year theme but rather as many tracks I could fit in two hours coming from the past 5 years. I happen to enjoy creating these mega mixes as it is challenging to get the flow, cuts and transitions perfect.

I spent about two days in Ableton getting the basic outline of the yearmix and a few days afterwards polishing it. All the transitions should be clean and seamless and also flow well. Hopefully this tops Armin's work. Anyways, this will be the 30th release on my podcast but I'm sharing it here for feedback so I can further improve it.

I hope you guys enjoy this!

In the near future, I will release the ableton project for people to mess around with it. Please leave feedback and comments!

Late reply but just wanted to share with you cause this mix was awesome.. I took it with me on my "fly drive" vacation to greece and played it a lot in the car...

My gf who isn't really a big fan of long intro and outro's absolutely loved it and still plays it on here mp3-player so thumbs up...

Some critics tho.. Djuma Soundsystem - Les Djinns (Trentemoller Remix) kills the feeling a bit especially after those two killing tracks Estiva-Stella and Albert Vorne - Formentera What? (Gareth Emery Remix) but that might be a personal idea of it.

Also nu-nrg with komosky was a bit of an atmosphere killer. I never heard the track before btw.

The transition between Max Graham feat. Jessica Jacob - I Know You're Gone and Whiteroom - Whiteroom feels a bit rushed, but me personally always having troubles mixing that track as the vocals "feel to be at the wrong place"

Anyway very nice job.. Are you still planning to release that ableton project? cause I would love to mess around with this mix, Adding some of my personal favourite tracks like The Blizzard - Kalopsia together with some new tracks of this year...

Oh, I had forgotten about this thread lol, but the megamix has been finished a few weeks ago and released. I made a few adjustments in teh final version, Komosky was shorten by a lot, some fixes here and there, some sound mastering changes, don't think I did much to trentemoller besides make the transition smoother. Anyways heres the link to the final version enjoy. And I'll pack up the ableton project tonight and upload it to my website so you can download it.
