Abu Jihad, that's quite the name for a terrorist. :P

I truly suppor the stance that President Bush has taken lately, on pursuing these thugs. We should continue striking these individuals in Pakistan, this would send a clear message to the Paki govt that if they dont put their part on the war on the terror(which we basically finance by giving them money) we will hun them down on their territory.

If we have to invade a country for that reason... its justifiable. If the Paki govt is irresponsible. We would be doing them a favor going in there to clean the house.

Pointless infringement of Pakistani sovereignty. Disgusting. I wonder how many new recruits this will bring to insurgent groups in the area......There is no military solution to terrorism. Let me repeat that. THERE IS NO MILITARY SOLUTION TO TERRORISM. Not in Iraq. Not in Afghanistan. Not anywhere.

if you want to look at it that way, this ass-hat was an international Egyptian fugitive in the region illegaly having absolutely no business where he was subsequently vaporized.
this was in N Waziristan, a completely different ballgame with respect to "Pakistani Sovereignty". look it up.
...and i agree there is no military solution to terror as a whole. i don't think anybody believes that. it's one of those senseless anti-war memes that people like to regugitate because it sounds pretty.

The man was a fugitive criminal. So we send a $1 million missile? I wonder how much collateral damage there was, because the media rarely ever reports on that. And so what if the man is killed? Like that's going to stop the insurgency?
Hard line Republicans believe ending terrorism entails killing them all. IMPOSSIBLE. The more you bomb them, the more countries we occupy, the more they will be against us, and the more terrorism there will be.
Do you still believe liberal democracy is possible in Afghanistan?

Hellfire's cost around $50,000 a piece. look it up. helluva bargain considering we've had a bounty on this guy for a cool $1million for a while now.
he got the predator prostate exam while riding in a car out in the middle of nowhere so probably not as much collateral damage as you would like.
all countries kill or capture fugitives of all sorts from child molesters to drug kingpins, and go to the ends of the earth to do it. we do it but that certainly doesn't mean child molesting and drug traficking will immediatley cease. we do it because it's the right thing to do and that that particular fugitive won't do it again. nothing really different here.

i believe a democracy will succeed, not necessarily a "liberal" democracy.

Agree to disagree on all counts. We'll leave it there.
