I'm thrilled, like most of you, that Obama won the presidency, and look forward to having him lead this country in the coming years.

It's a bit of a shame to see that most of the States that didnt vote for Obama were in the South. It's sad to see that race played that big of a role in some states (though conservative religious values also played a big part).
On the flip side, you have people like George Wallace's daughter in Alabama writing a beautiful article in praise of Obama:

Well worth the read. Perhaps some of the TA members from the Texas board, who seem to be bitter over Mccain's defeat, should read it and reflect on the positive changes an Obama administration may bring.
