I go to Goodlife at Eaton Centre (South co-ed, but there is also another one on the North side), and I pay 29.50 plus tax bi-weekly...I really like the gym, and the staff is amazing...The crowd is really nice, it's mostly young professionals, but I also see an older crowd there once in a while...It's 3 floors, 1 for women only, 2nd one is with machines and cardio equipment, and the 3rd floor has a huge weight room with spinning bikes and an aerobics classroom. Classes are included with the memebership! Also, they have small saunas and tanning beds in change rooms.
Overall, I would say that it's my favourite gym downtown, I did a very good research before switching from my old one, which was women's only.
Oh, and I love raping those eliptical machines to some Armin and Jelo!!! I would say running is best to trance, and using eliptical to tribal, techno, and electro.

Yeah me too. I just installed a chin up bar, and bought some dumb bells.
I cannot stand the gym, the lights, the people, the equipment, the 'vibe'. I prefer my garage.
