I've got one and love it! You got a great deal on it - I paid $350 for mine (also used, but in like-new condition) locally earlier this year. I actually replaced my JV1080 with the XV5050 because of the better sound quality, newer expansions, and smaller size (1U vs 2U for the JV1080). I use it primarily for conventional "real" sounds (pianos, strings, woodwinds) and I expanded it with the Orchestra and World cards. I don't do much editing of the presets, but the software editor that comes with it is actually pretty good and much easier than trying to edit the patches from the front panel/menus.

One of the reasons why i got it was because i all ways want it a Roland xv-5080 and a Roland MC-909 groovebox the Roland XV-5050 hads the same sound engine as the 5080 and the 909!

Yeah - that's the exact reason I went with the 5050 over the 5080. I figured, I don't need all the editing capabilities of the 5080 because I only occasionally tweak a sound. They sound fantastic out of the box, so why spend 2-3 times as much, when the 5050 has the same engine and presets. My ONLY reservation was that it would be nice to have more than just the 2 expansion slots, but it's really not that big a deal - I got the two expansions that I really wanted.

Any good supersaws patches in the xv-5050?

There are a handful of supersaws presets, but I as I mentioned, I use the XV5050 primarily for "real" sounds and rely on my other synths (Virus, Prophet08) for synth sounds. I suggest getting to know the Patch Finder right away - it's simple and lets you sort through categories of patches - and start going through the "SYN" category presets. You'll find some decent saw leads pretty quickly that way. Some saw sounds are layered with others and it shouldn't take much tweaking to turn off the non-saw layer (or change it to another saw), detune it, etc.
