CDJ 200 vs. MK3

Just wondering everybodies thoughts on this. You will think I am crazy, but the 400 model is the best IMO I just couldn't afford it. As far as the MK 3's go, I am not a bloghouse electro funk DJ so all those bells and whistles don't mean shit to me. Then when you look at the price difference...it's like damn. Sure, the mk3 has a better wheel. Big whoop though. The tables allow you to find a perfect BPM because of their very accurate and sensitive pitch control so what exactly do you need a leet wheel for? I know I don't.

As a trance DJ who really likes to let the tracks breathe on their own I really don't see how an MK3 would be so much better, especially when you look at pricing.

Maybe the mk4 will be great, but for a typical trance DJ you don't need anything better than a 200. Just my opinion. What's yours?

My honest advise, dont buy CDJ-200s, jog is loosy and shit.
It's better to wait and buy 400s in my opinion

No it's not.

I own 1000's, and find the 400's very nice to play on.

The 200s are good, but the jog on the 1000 is infinitely better.

Simple: If you can aford the 1000s then get them, there are other nice features like the track display that make them lovely to use.

If you're on a budget then the 200s are great units. Just not as good as the 1000s.

And if you ever have any intention of using a DVS (Serato, Traktor Scratch Pro), do NOT get the 200's. You want a player with vinyl emulation.

Using CDJ-400's with Serato in HID (native) mode is the bomb.

Why? It feels the same as the 800/1000, only smaller...

Have you played a whole set on them? Non-issue IMO.

I have a 400 and a 1000 mk3 set up at the moment. The jog wheel on the 400 is a bit small but its fine to use. Its obviously not as good as the mk3 tho.

I'd say don't underestimate the 800s.
