Anjunabeats - Best of Vocal Trance Vol 2
Just bought Anjunabeats - Best of Vocal Trance Vol 2 and have been listening to it on my iPod whenever i'm going anywhere. Just downloaded Vol 1, but if it is anything like Vol 2 then i won't be dissapointed. It contains tracks that aren't mixed, but is trance as it should be - uplifting, rises and falls to peaks and troughs and reminds me that trance isn't dead. I don't think there is bad track on the album my particular favourites are the first 3 tracks - Amsterdam, Clear Blue Water, and Forever, but having said that i am hard pressed to find a track i didn't like.
I did buy Anjunabeats Vol 6, but didn't like that half as much as i liked the Vocal Trance album. It would be great to know if anyone has any other albums from A&B and this label and can point me in the direction of more good stuff.
I'm in the UK and apart from Tiesto's ISOS and AVB's ASOT i've been finding it hard finding anything remotely worth buying, and when i do i'm at least some of the time dissapointed.
I got into trance in the late 90's/early 00's and love the early Trance Nation, Godskitchen and Gatecrasher mix CD's, but of late the trance i've heard has changed, gone deeper, less vocal, and is less uplifting and so i've drifted away.
I know this is an international trance site so might be less focussed on CD's and downloads that are prevalent in the UK, but there seem to be no Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep/Above & Beyond reviews. I used to come on here as most of the albums i was thinking of buying were reviewed by fellow tranceheads so i could form an opinion. This is happening less and less and since i don't have my own decks and prefer to get albums rather than singles i'm finding it hard. So come on guys get some more reviews on here or i'll be forced to look elsewhere.
Just moved to London and would love to hook up with some people to go clubbing with. Most people i know aren't really up for it and not when it comes to trance. So drop me a message if you are up for it.
