kr00t0n - Preference 2008 [January 2009] - Top 30 of 2008

These are my 30 favourite tracks that I heard for the first time in 2008, I am fully aware that a few of from years earlier, but just because I didn't hear them then doesn't make them not able to be one of my favourites from 2008.

Getting all the various genres to mix with a modicum of progression was the tricky bit, so I fully expect this to be the main criticism, lol.

Enjoy!

Downloading now. I wouldn't really think a track with Ultravoice, Bizzare Contact, and Electro Sun called "Nasty" would be very trancy. Sounds kinda full on to me!

Anyways, will listen and provide feedback soon. Always love your mixes!

First tracks started off a little too funky-technoy for me, but this 3rd track is really really cool.

I'm on Lank - Cowboys Again, and it seems very drum heavy and funky. I have really liked your progression so far. I'm going to do something similar to you in February, where I start off with some hard progressiveish trance, but then slowly move into some full on. These tracks are all very well programmed and transition exactly the way they should.

Nice melody 34 minutes in! Not sure what this is, is this the track by Envio?

I don't know what's playing at 44:54, but I can tell you it's awesome. Wonderful set so far, I love how you took it from groovy/techy to melodic/uplifting so easily.

Track at 51 minutes is pretty trippy. Kinda snuck up on me.

66 minutes in right now, and it's currently gotten rather boring =\

Oh, man, I feel like I've heard this song before, but not sure what it is. "If you strip away the dance beat, there's not a lot left" 78 minutes in?

Anyways, I'm gonna call it quits for the moment, I still have another half to the set, I will post my opinion for the second half later! Nice work, man!
