Has anyone tried this before. I was in the balcony for the raps and noticed almost a whole row empty in centre court at the bottom for the whole first quarter, so figured what the hell, these people obviously aren't coming. And slipped in and watched the rest of the game from amazing seats. It felt pretty cool for the once in a life time having seats i'd never pay for. Only negative is you really notice how quiet it is at the bottom from the top. I know its obviously becuase the people up top actually buy their tickets, but our group probably stood out simply because we were one of the spotty areas of people in the 100's who were actually into the game.

I've done it at baseball games a long time ago.

The only risk you run is that they are corporate/season ticket seats and people sitting near you may know they're not your seats and might rat you out. I don't know if you'd get kicked out or just sent out of the section?

yeh, i was thinking of that, but then, people usually give tickets away or won't attend every game, so i'd assume it'd get mixed up enough for people to keep their mouth shut.

I try it every time I go to a sporting event. If you're not caught, it's great, and if you are, they send you back to your seats. Just don't try twice in the same game ^_^

Those forces combine to create a soaking, boiling mudstorm on Valentine's Day.

I did it at a leaf game and was fine for a while but the people beside us complained that we were "loud and cursing" and they had a young kid with them and found us offensive so security kicked us back to our seats. we came back down at the start of the next period and got kicked back again but no one really seemed to care.

moral of the story: dont be drunk and swear around stupid people when ur not in ur own seats BUT if u choose to security really couldnt care less.

There's really no risk involved.

I've never heard of anyone getting kicked out of the arena/stadium for trying to sit in other peoples seats.


the only thing is that many venues are pretty strict to ensure that you are in the correct section.

If you are in an upper row of a section, then its very easy to move to a lower row in the same section.

If you are in the lower bowl, its easier to move to another seat in the lower bowl.

Pretty much every section is manned by a security guard to check to make sure you are in the right section and know where your seats.
When you do try and go down, just pretend like you know where your seats are. It is also advantageous to have both of your hands full (either with food or memorabilia) that way you aren't able to get your 'ticket' out of your pocket, and the security guard will just assume that you know where you're going.

not sure bout leafs or raptors games but you can definitely get away with it at jays games....especially since attendance is so low these days...when I was in high school I worked as an usher with some of my friends and we'd totally geeve about ppl moving down. Sometimes it's even better to be up front with the usher and just ask them if you can move down...more often than not they'll say ok.

I do that for EVERY concert i go to. If i can't get "gen admissions" or "floor" tickets, then i'll sneak down to a better seat or section.

At Argos if people sit in the season ticket seats around me (I know because I have season tickets) I get the security to remove them.

If the the seat owners aren't going to be coming to the game and there are some random dudes cheating the system and sitting in the seats... why would you rat them out? I could understand if they're being completely obnoxious, but if they're just trying to score better seats when they're not being used, who cares? Let 'em enjoy them.

first off - argos season tickets?!?!?!? really?

secondly, i agree with you if you come to your seats at the beginning of the game and someone was in them, its like what the hell are you doing. That takes serious balls, and more arogance, because obviously theres a good chance the seat owners will come. But vacant seats after the entire first quarter of a game, why not increase my enjoyment of the game when not interupting anyone else.
