Hey dude, so surprised you still have an account lol. Can't wait to meet up again with you sometime, love to see how the house and neighborhood has evolved and especially how the little one is doing... shit, wait... he has the same birthday as me doesn't he???? |
Yeah, he just turned a year old on the 19th. Ate birthday cake like there was no tomorrow and he got really hyper. Check out the video of him dancing to Danny Howells on my facebook.
I don't care what anyone says. I still listen to trance, and it will always remain at the top of my favorite styles of EDM. Been listening to some techno like speedy J and Adam Beyer and I love the deep house among other types of house, but I miss the dynamics and emotion of trance. I love psy trance but even that starts to become a boring one dimensional sound after a set or two. Admittedly the same formula -- intro, breakdown, release, outro -- is getting a little stale as the same pattern for every trance track since it became popular in the 90s, but that's what trance IS. Complaining about that is like complaining about blues because it's always so "bluesy" or heavy metal for always being so "heavy" or complaining that techno lacks melody and emotion.
One thing I'd like to learn more about is breaks. LKD, what are some producers/djs I should check out?
